00 PM JOB GOAL:
The Office Manager will provide administrative support to the staff, board and other volunteers by managing incoming communication, published communication and general office support.
This position requires awareness of all ministries within and connected to the church.
Workload is directed by the Lead Pastor and the position supports the overall ministry of the church.
DUTIES:

A detailed list of tasks is available upon request) - Assist with walk-ins, phone calls and other incoming communication - Recruit, schedule and manage volunteers to assist with office tasks - Manage public communion, including event approval, calendar management, weekly email, website and social media - Design graphics for events and assist with printing or ordering books, fliers, banners, etc.
- Manage building usage, including requests from outside groups and individuals - Order kitchen, office, and custodial supplies Other duties, as assigned by the Supervisor KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to work within the constraints of constant interruption, meet deadlines, perform under pressure and multi-task Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with staff, volunteers, church members and general public Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google G Suite, social media platforms, graphics software, and other technological skills as requested to function at an administrative support level Ability to access and work with a complex membership database (currently Church Community Builder) Ability to read, write and compute per needs of position Ability to communicate and carry out Church policies and procedures Possess competent record keeping skills Proficient in composing and preparing letters and reports inclusive of correct grammar, spelling and punctuation Possess competent organizational skills Possess effective communication skills Ability to problem-solve as needed Ability to work with others as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude Ability to accurately read, understand, interpret and follow written/oral instructions Ability to work independently and flexibly having minimum supervision in a very close office setting Ability to operate technological equipment and other office machines/equipment as required Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to lift and carry weights up to 50 pounds without assistance Ability to withstand frequent walking about church building Ability to attend pertinent workshops pertaining to position Willingness to update skills as requested Consistent, reliable attendance according to established work schedule is required Candidates must consent to a background check and must complete child safety training Candidate skills will be measured through several computer proficiency tests, with keyboarding speed of 50 words per minute expected EDUCATION:
Minimum educational requirement is High School graduation or GED certificate.
Associates Degree or comparable equivalent in related field strongly preferred.
Vocational/Technical education may apply.
At Church's discretion, experience and/or training may replace required education.
Experience:
The qualified applicant will have experience in a fast-paced, high-energy office environment The ideal candidate will have experience working in a church environment, including experience overseeing volunteers At Church's discretion, education and/or training may replace required work experience.
