Position
Summary:
Maintains commercial food and beverage refrigeration equipment, perform routine repairs, and maintenance activities.
Replaces HVAC and smoke eater filters.
Notifies management concerning need for any repairs.
Communicates inventory supply status to management.
Performs daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance tasks.
Reports on any observed security, environmental and health and safety related concerns and any equipment malfunctions.
Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:
Promotes superior guest service.
Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tl cn and the Core Values of ilani.
Have working knowledge of all aspects of building maintenance.
Possess a well-rounded skill set in carpentry, plumbing and electrical.
General plumbing replacing pumps and repairing PVC lines.
Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various types of food service and refrigeration equipment.
Install new food service or refrigeration equipment and systems when required.
Relocate and expand existing food service equipment as required.
Repair, replace or calibrate controls, thermostats, switches, fuses, and electrical wiring.
Fabricate, assemble and install electrical wiring, controls and piping according to specifications and code.
Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and procedures for all food service and refrigeration equipment, including changing of filters and cleaning condensers and coils.
Receive and complete work orders.
Maintain accurate records on material and labor used.
Detect needed repairs on equipment using established inspection procedures.
Correct and or report unsafe conditions or equipment immediately to a supervisor.
Ensures the appropriate flow of information and communication within the assigned departments to maximize efficiencies and consistency in all operations.
Ensure that all equipment, materials, techniques and procedures comply with federal, state, and local codes and regulations to the extent applicable.
Actively updates preventative and predictive maintenance programs, Building Management system and energy management efforts and projects to keep facility in proper operating condition.
Maintain constant awareness of safety and accident prevention and ensure that all team members are properly trained in safety policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum
Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
1 year of experience utilizing carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills.
General knowledge of applicable building and fire codes.
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.
Must be able to lift 50lbs, reach, stoop and stand for extended periods of time.
Must possess a valid Driver's License.
Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.
Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.
